For my grandfather, “Papa”. Such an amazing influence in my life, you departed just before I entered medical school. The impression you made on my life helped navigate my career. From watching your own struggles with the suffocating grip of disease, I’ve tried to make the journey of others more bearable. Thank you for the gift of character. I miss you tremendously.
